Epcots Flower and Garden Festival 2017

In April 2017 we spent two weeks at Walt Disney World, for the Easter holidays. Whilst we were there the Epcot International Flower And Garden Festival was taking place. This is an annual festival that celebrates the very welcome arrival of spring! This festival was great for everyone in our family. It had a great mix of things to see, eat and do!

We dipped in and out of Epcot for the festival across the fortnight, which was a great way to do it. We would do it like that again if we get a chance!

These are some of our highlights from our visits;

The Food

During the festival, there are Outdoor Kitchens placed around the world showcase, for you to try delicious food that you do not always find at Walt Disney World. Some of our favourite dishes we tried were the Frushi and caramelised strawberries. Just delicious!  All reasonably priced or eligible for a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan! Perfect!

The Topiaries

There were dozens of Disney themed topiaries and spring themed displays. Great to look at and great for a photo op for Instagram!

At this festival there was a great egg hunt for the kids (or adults!) You could purchase a map of the world showcase along with the stickers and go on the look out for egg characters. Some were trickier to find than others, so it got the kids determined to find all of the eggs. At the end they recieved a small gift. Flower and Garden Festival also hosted an outdoor butterfly house to walk through.

Our family enjoyed every aspect of the Flower and Garden Festival. Epcot is the gift that keeps giving for us.

What is your favourite event that happens at Walt Disney World?

“The deep roots never doubt spring will come.”
